Here is a rough mixed underscore demo cue idea for the opening action of the pilot teaser. It loosely follows script pages 1 & 2. As discussed in our zoom meeting it features character driven elements:

• Acoustic instruments (solo strings, percussion, and guitars) with dark, gritty effects processing being added to and subtracted from, help create tension and a vibe.

• The strings play repetitive minimalistic patterns that enhance the tension.

• Dark synth textures are also used for the assailants.

• Rock guitar plays a fragmented SWAT theme representing Hondo and the old guard.

• Nylon Guitalele plays the S.W.A.T. theme, representing young Nico Ramirez as he bleeds out and dies.

This demo has 4 distinct sections that follow the four sections of the opening action of the pilot teaser script. Here are the rough timings (in seconds):

SWAT raid going bad, run by grizzled old school S.W.A.T. OPERATORS

Key change and electric guitar playing fragmented S.W.A.T. theme for Hondo as he enters - Controlled. Deadly. Professional. Hondo takers care of business, then sees Nico Ramirez on th ground, bleeding. Hondo fires one last burst downrange. The shooters begin retreating

NICO RAMIREZ

Hondo scrambles to Nico. Blood’s everywhere. Guitalele plays an emotional version of the S.W.A.T. theme as Hondo tries to save Nico, but ultimately can’t. The final note hits as Nico fades. The music fades as we FADE TO BLACK.
